From 3- 15 April, Andreja Bogdanovski (Foreign and Security Research Fellow) took part in a fellowship program at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). The visit was part of a new project that Analytica works on together with NUPI and 6 other think tanks from the Western Balkans. The main purpose of the visit was to establish research and methodology focus that should address the research question "To what extent the Western Balkans can be considered to be a security community".The research will take professions as a point of departure and employ practice theory through which the project will examine the we-ness element, drivers behind regional cooperation, socialisation among professions' representatives etc. The end of the project should result with a book.

During the stay, the representatives of the think tanks involved in the project visited the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence exchanged information about the current developments in the region and the experience with the security consortium work so far. On a special occasion the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia hosted an informal reception at the Serbian Embassy in Oslo together with his colleagues from the Western Balkans.
