Europe after the Lisbon Treaty, 20 May 2010, Skopje, Macedonia

The current residential intern at Analytica, Angel Kulakov, attended the fifth annual international conference on European integration, entitled “Europe after the Lisbon Treaty”, organized by the University American College Skopje, in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. Multidisciplinary in character, this one-day event offered two parallel academic tracks, the first in the field of Law, International Relations and Diplomacy, and the other in Economy, Energy, Environment and Social Sciences, of which he was present at the former. During this working session, domestic and international researchers presented their research papers related to the subject matter.

EU’s Peace Support Operations - Young Faces Network

introOur Research Fellow Andreja Bogdanovski was selected to participate at this year’s “Young Faces Network” program organized by the Democratic Center of Armed Forces (DCAF). The aim of the program is to bring together young professionals from the region of South East Europe together, exchange views and get an insider’s view from eminent professionals in the field of security and defense.

OFEI 2010 Intensive Course in Skopje on dealing with the past and the European Integration process, 1-5 May 2010

Our research fellow Sonja Risteska was also a guest speaker at the Our Future Network (OFN) intensive course that took place in Skopje, Macedonia from the 1st until the 5th of May 2010. OFN is a challenging and exciting exchange program and network of young people from Serbia, Kosovo and The Netherlands. OFN wishes to improve relations between Serbs and Albanians through open and (self) critical dialogue regarding the past and the future. At the lecture called European integration and the position of Serbia in this process; the role of the EU Integration in reconciliation, Sonja Risteska spoke about Macedonia’s experience in the process of the EU Integration, the challenges that it faces and the relations it has with its neighboring countries.

SEA Change Regional Meeting, Belgrade, Serbia, 22-24 April 2010

Our research fellow Sonja Risteska took part at the SEA Change Regional Meeting organised by FRAKTAL in Belgrade Serbia in April. SEA Change envisions a series of activities, meetings and web discussions, that will offer to a range of stakeholders and actors to come together and examine challenges and opportunities, theories and practices, political, social and economic considerations in the field of energy efficiency and to explore ideas about Synergies for Energy Awareness Change. With the regional meeting in Belgrade, the intention was to create opportunity for relevant CSOs from countries of Western Balkan to meet, share information and experience, to explore ideas about possibilities for closer contact and cooperation, and to formulate goals, principles, and potential issues for joint action within the SEA Change Network.
