EU’s Peace Support Operations - Young Faces Network
Our Research Fellow Andreja Bogdanovski was selected to participate at this year’s “Young Faces Network” program organized by the Democratic Center of Armed Forces (DCAF). The aim of the program is to bring together young professionals from the region of South East Europe together, exchange views and get an insider’s view from eminent professionals in the field of security and defense.
Our Research Fellow Andreja Bogdanovski was selected to participate at this year’s “Young Faces Network” program organized by the Democratic Center of Armed Forces (DCAF). The aim of the program is to bring together young professionals from the region of South East Europe together, exchange views and get an insider’s view from eminent professionals in the field of security and defense.
Moreover this year’s topic is focusing on EU’s Peace Support Operations and for that purpose the program envisages two capacity building workshops, one in Brussels and one in Ljubljana. Among the topics that are covered, great emphasis is put on the changes that are affecting the EU’s Common Security and Defense Policy after the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty. In the meanwhile participants are expected to deliver a policy paper which should outline the challenges that the EUas well as the countries from the region are facing with in their involvement in peace support operations abroad.
