From 29 – 30 March, Andreja Bogdanovski and Milka Ivanovska (Security Research Fellows) attended the third regional workshop as part of the project "Security Transitions in the Western Balkans, from Conflict Zone to Conflict Community". Both researchers had the possibility to attend and participate in lectures on Military and Police as professions provided by Ozren Žunec, Croatian sociologist and professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb as well as Sonja Stojanovic - Director of the Belgrade Center for Security Policy.
These lectures were coupled with insights by Filip Ejdus, Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade speaking on communitarian approaches to international politics. Last but not least Marina Simić wrapped up the workshop with a lecture and practical exercise on applied anthropological methods in the study of organisations.
The overall aim of the workshop was to have the regional partners share experiences from empirical research and consolidate projects' research design based on that experience; to enhance understanding of two chosen professions (military and police) and to advance understanding of possible application of anthropological research methods in the study of organisations.
