The aim of the conference was in light of the consequences from the financial crisis and the ever growing challenges as insufficient growth and population ageing, to discuss the current EU complexities and suggest perspectives on growth and ways leading out of the crisis. At the conference many professors, PhD students, experts and professionals from Macedonia and abroad presented their papers on various EU topics concerning the Euro crisis, E-democracy, economic diplomacy, the role of the development banks, tax evasion and similar.

In the first academic track of the conference “EU Politics and EU Social Policies” Ana Stojilovska presented her paper which aimed to assess the level of adoption and implementation of the EU energy efficiency and renewable energy policies in the region by comparing the case studies of Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania for the purpose of stating whether Macedonia as the country with longest candidate status experience is the most advanced; and for drafting recommendations for Macedonia.
